This blog’s been pretty dead for a while because I can’t seem to find the inspiration to write anything that is worth broadcasting to anyone with Internet access and knows of or happens to chance upon this humble blog.

Today was pretty interesting, I managed to get through the day without falling into my usual bad old habits again. Those evil desires really haunt me and sometimes refuse to let me go but I’ll keep going and fighting them for God’s sake and the people around me. Sometimes I get really moody and stop being as nice to the people around. Undeniably, I often hurt them and I don’t know it. I definitely need to be more resistant to the happenings around me. It’s really time to grow up and move on. (:

Good old Kat and I had a really great talk during PW lecture. Yes… I know we’re not supposed to be talking but attentively listening to the lecturer… Thanks for talking to me, I needed to get that out of my chest for a while. (:

Playing with chemicals in chem lab period was fun today! Miss Baljeet poured out the precipitate from a test-tube from one of the experiments into the sink and it formed a shape of a heart! How awesome is that?! I think a couple of people took photos of it and I know a certain someone put it as his wallpaper. Really, it formed a distinctive heart shape and it looked like the shape of those ones you find on Happy House stuff. Superb… I really must learn how to from pretty shapes from pouring precipitate into sinks.

Finally, I understand Integration! After struggling to find out what the lecturer was talking about, I get a sudden surge of understanding! Praise God!

KI was interesting today, with the discussion on this passage called “On Superstition and Santa Claus”. The class was split into groups and I realised that I was the only Chinese in my group. Nevertheless, we had an interesting conversation. The passage was about this boy talking with Socrates about superstition and Socrates kept questioning the reliability of the basis for his arguments that in the end, the boy had to concede defeat. It’s no wonder why Socrates was sent to death by drinking poison in the past because he really would blow the mind of anyone who would speak to him! Haha, so much for using universal negative statements… At least now we can affirm the existence of a God! (:

Now to the highlight of the day: Dominic’s birthday!!! The plan was to invite him to the cafe under the pretence of a group gathering, then someone would come through the door and exclaim,” Oh my goodness! You have to take a look at what’s outside!” Everyone would then scuttle outside hoping to find out what it was and someone would point to the pool and say that it was in there. When Dominic gets close enough to the edge of the pool, the guys would push him in and when he gets out soaking we, we would sing him “Happy Birthday”.

Well, nothing really went as planned… Firstly, I think that he figured the whole thing out beforehand and he knew that we knew that it was his birthday so it wasn’t much of a surprise. Also, we could not get him out of the cafe and near enough to the pool. Funny, he also figured out that we wanted to dunk him into the pool and refused to be dunked. As a consolation, Charis and I wet him with water from water bottles, a really scaled-down version of what we planned to do. Nevertheless, he was happy and that’s all that matters. (:

OK, that’s about all from me. I just want to add that I am really grateful to God for putting such wonderful people in my life to befriend, to joke, to laugh and to play horrible tricks on. Most of all, to be able to love them is the best of all! (:

With much Love,

Stef
